JOLLYS is a hidden gem for craft beer lovers, located slightly away from the central area of Ebisu but still close to Ebisu Station, so you don’t need to worry about accessibility.
The bar offers a unique experience where the main attraction is not just the craft beer on tap but also the wide selection of bottled and canned craft beers available in the refrigerator.
Patrons can choose their beer and bring it to the register for payment, allowing both locals and foreigners to enjoy without needing to be craft beer experts.
Japanese craft beers are also available, and if you’re unsure about drinking inside, you can always buy a beer to-go after checking out the place.
The prices are reasonable, making it easy to relax and socialize.
There are no counter tables, only standing table seats, but the friendly staff often chat with customers, making it easier for newcomers to strike up conversations with others.
Although not directly related to socializing, the basement has a sound studio available for hourly rental, which could be fun for music enthusiasts.

Customer Demographics and Timing
The bar gets busier around 9:30 to 10:00 PM on weekends.
It’s closed on Sundays and public holidays.
The crowd is mostly in their 20s and 30s, with a higher proportion of men, but there are also women, making it a great spot to meet new people.
While they offer snacks, spam musubi, and instant ramen, it’s recommended to eat a proper meal elsewhere before visiting if you’re hungry.
I discovered JOLLYS from a local while drinking in Ebisu, and it’s still a relatively undiscovered spot, making it a great place to enjoy craft beer and meet new people.
